On July 24, a delegation from Indonesia’s Workshop on Safe Production in Mineral Resource Development visited Huayou Cobalt’s Quzhou Industrial Park for on-site inspections and technical exchanges. The event focused on sharing China’s advanced practices in mineral resource development and safety management, aiming to deepen Sino-Indonesian cooperation and promote sustainable growth in Indonesia’s mining sector.

Organized by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the Academy of International Business Officials (AIBO), the workshop was supported by the China National Chamber of Commerce for Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters. Led by senior officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the delegation explored topics including policy frameworks, technological innovations, and field operations to enhance Indonesia’s mining safety standards.
Since entering Indonesia in 2018, Huayou has integrated Chinese safety standards with local conditions, operating over 10 large-scale projects including Huayue, Huafei, Huake, and Huaneng. The company is also developing the Pomalaa Industrial Park (IPIP), Indonesia’s first integrated green manufacturing base spanning from mineral smelting to lithium battery materials, serving as a model for local industrialization.
