To enhance integrity risk prevention in overseas projects and deepen grid-based supervision management, Huayou's Audit and Supervision Center recently deployed a team to Hungary, successfully carrying out the construction of supervision grids at the European base. This initiative advances the internationalization of audit and supervision functions and safeguards the company's global development strategy through concrete actions.
As the Group accelerates its international expansion, clients are conducting more comprehensive and in-depth reviews of integrity and compliance. The European market's requirements for integrity and compliance are becoming increasingly stringent. This specialized work not only implements the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System certification but also serves as a practical step in building an integrity and compliance system that "integrates corporate standards with local characteristics."
On the project launch day, the special task force from the Audit and Supervision Center chaired an meeting attended by the European base's management and heads of all departments. Xi Hong, General Manager of the Audit and Supervision Center, delivered a speech outlining the goals and key tasks of the initiative, providing clear direction for subsequent work. Sun Jun, General Manager of the European base, stated that the base would use this integrity-building initiative as an opportunity for leaders to take the lead in strengthening the foundation of integrity and honesty, ensuring a smooth transition during project operations.
The oversight network task force conducted tailored training sessions for both management and frontline employees, covering the company's integrity policies, anti-corruption measures, and case studies. These efforts reinforced a company-wide awareness of "understanding reverence and adhering to boundaries" in professional conduct. Additionally, the task force organized specialized training on "rejecting gambling, drugs, and telecommunications fraud," further fulfilling overseas management responsibilities and helping safeguard employees' personal and property safety.
The business-audit collaboration forum was a critical component of the project. The Audit and Supervision Center engaged in in-depth discussions with various business departments at the European base to jointly identify risk points and explore preventive measures. Heads and staff from the General Administration Department, Production and Operations Department, European Project Department, and other units actively participated, contributing ideas to ensure ethical business operations.
During the project, the Audit and Supervision Center also conducted one-on-one interviews with key personnel and employee representatives at the European base to gain detailed insights into overall project progress, integrity management challenges, and improvement suggestions, further understanding local integrity dynamics and employee working conditions.
Additionally, the project team invited representatives from partner suppliers to participate in discussions, conveying the principles of ethical collaboration while gathering feedback for improvement. The team also conducted on-site visits to construction sites, performing oversight inspections to understand key operational processes and identify potential integrity risks.
This specialized initiative received full cooperation and support from all staff at the Hungarian base. It not only solidified the foundation for integrity and compliance management at the European base but also demonstrated Huayou's commitment to "adapting to international rules and upholding the bottom line of integrity and compliance." This effort also showcases the company's dedication to ethical and compliant operations to international partners, injecting sustained momentum into the advancement of its globalization strategy.
